Can I bring my own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks?
– yes, and 1 litre water bottle will be provided. It’s recommended you bring your own reuseable water bottle.
Will there be any food or drinks for sale?
– yes, there will be pop, water and beer for purchase. There will also be small snacks for purchase (bananas & protein bars)
Will World Cup games be shown in the tournament area?
– no, the tournament screens will only show foosball table live streams and match listings. Your priority this weekend is Table Soccer!! 🙂
What times will the room be available?
– Friday (4pm to 11pm), Saturday (10:30am to 11pm), Sunday (10am to 9pm)
I need to drive there, where should I park?
– Green P parking at Distillery is spacious and convenient ($20). Other less expensive options are available and we will provide details when available.
Is public transit convenient to get there?
– Yes! Many convenient options, check Google Maps.
I have never been to the Distillery District, should I set aside time to check it out?
– Yes, it’s one of Toronto’s best areas. Balzac’s coffee, Mill Street pub are famous and unique!
Why is this tournament at the Distillery this year?
– The ICFF is a unique, growing festival that wanted to provide activities for it’s attendees and a very interesting world-class experience for players and spectators. We are very excited to collaborate with them to host this year’s Canadian National tournament (on Tornado)!
Does this mean there might be random spectators watching our matches?
– Yes, it’s very likely. Try not to be distracted, and let’s act like the classy, exciting skilled athletes we are 🙂
Should I register and pay for events last minute, take long breaks without checking if my matches are up, forget to submit results, and act surprised when I’m on recall or forfeited?
– Yes, if you want to be the reason we make all events race to 7, and discourage TFC and ICFF (and Distillery) from ever hosting tournaments again!
Thanks for understanding, and we’re doing our best to ensure you all have an amazing experience!
See you soon players!
